Terms and Conditions

Please read all terms and conditions carefully. Payment of deposit implies that you understand and agree with these conditions.

PAYMENT

The trip deposit is non-refundable and due at the time of booking. The balance of the trip fee must be paid no later than 60 days prior to trip departure date. If team member does not pay within this period, his or her place on the team may be cancelled and the deposit forfeited. Immediate full payment is required if traveler joins the team within 60 days of the departure date. New team members will be accepted only until 14 days before departure date. Those joining within 30 days of travel will be charged a $250 administration fee.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATION FEES

– Up to 60 days before departure – forfeiture of deposit

– 31 – 60 days before departure – forfeiture of 50% of trip fee

-0-30 days before departure – forfeiture of 100% of trip fee

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

The following must be submitted to IEP no later than 60 days prior to departure date:

– A fully completed IEP volunteer application

-A copy of the information page of traveler’s passport, valid for 6 months after departure date

– Signed release of liability

Failure to submit these documents could result in trip cancellation and forfeiture of deposit.

Please ensure that you carefully read your invoice, tickets and all other documents we send you as you receive them and contact us immediately if any information appears to be incorrect. We will not accept any liability if you fail to notify us of any inaccuracy in any document within 7 days of us sending them to you.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

Any dietary requirements must be included in the application and submitted no later than 60 days prior to departure. While we make every effort to comply with health-related dietary restrictions, we cannot guarantee that any special dietary requirements will be met.

TEAM MEMBERS’ RESPONSIBILITY AND BEHAVIOR

You will not be permitted to embark or continue on the trip if your mental or physical condition is, in the reasonable opinion of the team leader, such as to render you incapable of caring for yourself, or where you become objectionable to other team members or staff, or where you have engaged in any illegal activity during a trip. We will not be responsible for expense resulting in you being precluded from completing the trip for any reason, nor will we refund any part of your trip cost. We will have no obligation to arrange for your return to the point of your departure.

FLEXIBILITY DURING TRIPS

Every effort will be made to operate all teams as planned, but there may be a necessity to vary the itinerary from that stated in the materials. The need for a flexible attitude to this type of travel is important. The team leader as appointed by IEP will make all decisions relating to the trip itinerary.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES AND EXCURSIONS

Neither International Esperanza Project nor its employees make any representation or warranty in relation to implied or explicit suggestions or recommendations of services, activities and events not highlighted as included in the trip.
